dc.description.abstract Secondary data were extracted from reports on selected farming system research sites in which data were collected weekly over a season or year covering the years 1981 to 85. Average net annual incomes for several groups of farmers based on total size of holdings owned were compared to estimated average annual cost of a reputedly acceptable diet of components totally 1925 k cals/capita/day. Comparison was made using average retail prices for each food component for each locality and year of primary data collection en_US
