Report on the assessment of the performance of ATC

Abstract

ATC have been created at regional level comprising of a few administrative districts of similar agro-ecology to bring extension and research together to discuss farmers problem & to share information about existing & new technologies. It is the only technical point and place where all the nation building organizations related to agricultural sector get together and discuss issues problems of one another, get familiar with each other's work and priorities and ultimately learn from each other's experience. This is a wonderful forum of the development partners for cooperation balance development, mutual understanding and problem-solving. It meets 4 times each year-once before each cropping season & once to review annual extension plan. The overall approaches adopted for attaining the objectives of the study were: Attend to ATC meetings in different regions. Review of the ATC's proceedings and observations made there from. Study of reports and related documents. Interview and discussions with apex level NARS scientists & high-level extension personnel
