Contract research project on commnication behaviour and job performance of male and female block supervisors working under the DAE

Abstract

The study focuses on the communication behaviour patterns and job performance of the Block Supervisors(BSs) working under the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE). The main objectives were to : (i) observe the mechanism of information input pattern (IIP), (ii) enhance better understanding on the mechanism of mass media information input pattern (MIIP), (iii) identify the information processing pattern (IPP), (iv) determine the information feedback pattern (IFP), (v) expose total communication behaviour pattern (TCBP) and (vi) evaluate job performance (JP) of the Block Supervisors. Further the study aimed at comparing the communication behaviour and job performance between male and female Block Supervisors. The study also explored the relationships of the communication behaviour and job performance of the Block Supervisors with their selected characteristics.
