dc.description.abstract Salinity problem received very little attention in the past, but due to increased demand for growing more food to feed the booming population of the country it has become imperative to explore the potentials of these lands. Therefore, it was felt essential to compile all the available indigenous research and survey information along with some relevant international information. This will serve as a data-base for planning adaptive research, formulating extension messages and production plans. These will provide the appropriate ways and means to maximize the agricultural land use of these regions and thereby attain the ultimate goal of increasing food production of the country. en_US
