Abstract:
The overall objective is to develop high yielding, disease resistant varieties of two pulse crops e.g. Blackgram (Vigna mungo) and Ocasspea (Lathyrus sitivus) through selection, hybridization or mutation breeding techniques. Study on the occurence of the various diseases of two pulse crops. Survey on the prevalence of seed borne pathogens of major diseases in the seeds of the two crops. Study on the control of seed-borne infection of Macrophomina phaseolina in mashkalai by seed dressing fungicides. Study on the control of major diseases by foliar spray of fungicides. To observe the interaction of Rhizobium inoculum on the yield of blackgram and grasspea.
